1. Oprah, as any other citizen, is entitled to have opinions
about politics and society. She is entitled to use her name and to further her ideas, is she so chooses, and without consulting with us. She is a bold advocate, as are Sean Penn, Bono, Alec Baldwin, and many others who have fame and the power of their name. If she is doing something she believes in, then there is not reason for regret.
