There's a difference between not minding someone's passing all that much (as you say) and those who take delight in someone's death, complete with wishes to burn in hell. Hyde's death does not cause me any sadness, but I don't take delight in it.

No, death does not make someone a good person. Of course not. But I still don't ever find myself rejoicing when anyone dies.

And I guess no one on this board would mind if some Freeper over at that site was rejoicing in the death of a Dem icon? My guess is that these very same DU folks would be decrying their hate-filled venemous posts. And they would be right.
