55. Hey Willy!
Edited on Fri Jan-04-08 12:07 PM by Hell Hath No Fury
:hi: :loveya:

Things in my neighborhood started hitting the fan this morning around 5:00 am. Lots of rain and wind -- it hasn't stopped yet. Lost power briefly at home, saw a pole transformer blow up in front of me while at a fourway stop, lots of smaller street trees down on 3rd Street, and power was out for a bit when I got to work. Sitting in my loaded truck at a stop, I was rocking back and forth like a very l-a-r-g-e person was jumping up and down on my hood -- the wind is pretty wicked!

I am sooo worried about Golden Gate Park, and especially the newly-refurbished Conservatory of Flowers. :( These storms are terribly hard on the park -- we lose so many of the old trees to the wind.

Talked to Mom this morning -- she is okay, just rain on the Valley floor for now, but they are worried about mudslides from the Angora fire. She is hunkered down for the duration.

Stay safe up there and keep us posted!
