32. She Visited The Maryland Ren Fest Years Ago As First Daughter
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 01:18 AM by Raejeanowl
My two stepdaughters worked there (seasonally) for years. The older of the two bore and bears more than a slight resemblance to her, and at the time, it was compounded by braces and lots of unruly, curly hair.

She was on a break, shopping in another booth, when she happened to look up toward a slight commotion and-by her account-into a mirror, although she knew who it was in an instant. She recalls that she raised her eyebrows, tilted her head and smiled at Chelsea, as if to ask, "Is that really you?" Chelsea, about ten feet away, just tilted her head to the same side, smiled and nodded.

She treasures the moment. And I think it points to what a down-to-earth and well-adjusted kid Chelsea was even in the midst of those turbulent years.
