5. For those non LDS here are what some of the terms used are
ward = congregation

Bishop = priest/pastor

cultural hall = gym at the local church building

Nursery = where all the 0-4 year olds go during 2 hours of the 3 hour sunday church meetings

home teach = men in the congregation are assigned a couple families to visit each month with a message

High Priest - pretty much any active male over the age of 40ish

tithing settlement - once a year you meet with the bishop to confirm you have paid a full tithe

Sacrament Meeting = communion

Sunday School = one of the three meetings on Sundays - one hour long (usually scripture or church history lessons)

Primary = where children between 4 and 12 years of age go for 2 hours of Sundays meeting (its divided by age with lessons).

sustaining = when someone gets a new responsibility in church there is a showing of hands for support in Sacrament Meeting

calling = everyone is assigned a responsibility at church

Inactive = someone who does not come to church often or at all

Temple Recommend = a piece of paper signed by the bishop and a local leader that says you can enter the temple (must be renewed every two years)

companion = the person you do your home teaching with

teacher = male of the age 14-15

priest = male of the age 16-18

Relief Society = women's organization

year's supply = members are encouraged to have a year supply of food and other necessities in case of emergency.

blessing = the laying on of hands to heal and comfort the sick (done by adult male members who have the priesthood)

2 If he wants to come at the end of the month, do you accept his reason "I've been out of town"? = reporting of your visits for the month
