17. The "fast moving" part usually excludes snapshots

I've seen a few UFOs in my lifetime and each time I was so startled and had such a hard time wrapping my head around what I was seeing that I couldn't have taken a photo if my Nikon was in my hot little hand. I think the same goes for most people. My father actually lucked out one time and saw a cigar shaped UFO over a cluster of trees at twilight, just hanging there silently. Dad had his camcorder handy and started filming-but because the craft was about the same chroma and value as the sky the camcorder wouldn't focus on it. My father started fussing with the camcorder so that he could get it on manual focus-when he finally did he lifted it to his eye only to have the craft shoot straight up into the sky vertically and disappear. I have a feeling that a lot of UFO sightings are just as frustrating for the witnesses!
