7. He made a few mistakes
1) He figured nobody would come out of Iowa, SC, NH and Nevada with any momentum.

2) He thought his one issue of 911, 911 and 911 would be enough to keep him competitive in those states to counteract any potential momentum.

3) Since nobody would have momentum going into Florida, he would win that state because it has so many Rudy-loving former New Yorkers, and that would give him momentum going into Super-Tuesday.


He had to figure that his magic name and media image as America's Mayor would give him 3rd or 4th in those early states without even campaigning. But, instead, he finished 5/6 in many of them and got only 60% of the vote that Ron Paul has gotten.
