sorry that you feel like anyone is sweeping anything under the rug.

I have read and responded to many threads about Obama and the McClurken issue.

I'm trying to stop reading, because the 'conversations' are for the most part, NOT constructive- or ones which seek to solve anything, they have become flame wars.

There are some people who are dumping a LOT of hurt, suffering, anger, frustration, and pain on the back of one single person who doesn't deserve it.

I DESPISE it when people harbor hatred, prejudice, and intolerance for each other. Nothing is gained when we resort to this kind of crap.

I would not vote for a candidate who I believed would work against equal rights for my GLBT brothers and sisters.

But I cannot condemn Obama as "homophobic"- based on his unfortunate decision to have Donnie McClurken stay on the venue for his "Gospel Tour".

And I'm sorry that this makes me "an enemy". I am NOT - but it is 'guilt by assosiation.
And that is something I can't change.
