Lung Cancer the leading cause of cancer deaths [View All]

Many times on this forum I have read discussions on smoking, cancer, and am always struck by some who wish to believe that smoking is the be all and end all of cancer. I have argued this point, and and wanted all of you to see this article. Food for thought. Please don't be complacent and believe that if you don't smoke or weren't exposed to it, you can't get it, because you'd be wrong. It is really a shame that the "smoking" thing has caused Lung Cancer to not get funding as it deserves, since it is much deadlier than breast cancer. It is not just a disease of smoking.

In fact, lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women.

And here's something else: Anyone can get lung cancer. You don't have to have been a smoker.

Kitts, a 43-year-old mother of two, never smoked cigarettes.

But in 2006 she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
