28. Whether she was or wasn't told about torture, Nancy wasn't allowed to divulge...
anything beyond the simple fact that she'd been briefed by the CIA. It was win/win for BushCo because Pelosi could neither confirm or deny any specifics.

Now that everyone is demanding answers, the CIA is either going to have to come clean or risk allying with the Republics in a pointless cover-up. After the Plame debacle, I can't imagine that cooperation with the Republics is at the top of the CIA's to-do list. Then again, under a permanent NeoCon, fascist regime, the CIA would flourish and grow. Under the Dems it is, at best, a necessary evil which requires stricter oversight then it's had for a couple of decades.

Given that Bob Graham has already confirmed that staffers were present at the actual meetings (as opposed to the imaginary meetings on the CIA's schedule), sensitive topics such as "enhanced interrogation", rendition and secret prisons could NOT have been discussed. Additionally, until (if ever) a single ranking (R) admits they were, in fact, briefed on torture and, by extension, are as complicit as they wish U.S. to believe Speaker Pelosi is, we need to put the torches and pitchforks back in the cupboard.

If the Speaker were to come out tomorrow and state flatly that she demands a full investigation, the Republics and the M$M would fly into an immediate frenzy. However, she should, at the very least, wait until after the Sunday talk shows are over and the additional exposure has allowed her opposition an opportunity to gather a few hundred more yards of rope with which to hang themselves.
