In moments of despair (growing more frequent) I salve my concerns with a fantasy of Europe paying us back for rescuing them from Hitler in the 1940s. Economic self-interest might do it, if righteous principle will not.

I recall how Clinton was "disappeared" from the news media, immediately upon Bush II's being installed in the Oval Office. He was nowhere to be seen. How is it that it's now all Cheney, all the time in every corner of television media?

Ralph Nader was right that we have only one political party in the U.S. And it is not serving We, the People.
