2. I'm unhappy but for a different reason...
.. all of the cheap easy oil in America has already been extracted. And as far as I can tell, if you opened up all areas of America and coastline for drilling, maximum production would not even make a dent (a few percent) in our energy usage.

I actually kinda thought that these drilling bans were strategic. That is, that oil will be worth a lot more 10 or 20 years from now than it is now. I thought we were going to wait and take it then.

Silly me, thinking the government could possibly think strategically.
