105. Many people that proudly call themselves 'middle class' are poor themselves and don't realize it
They complain about the poor. They complain about why nothing is being done about those of "US" in the middle class. They freak out when you point out to them that according to Labor Statistics, for a family their size and their income, they are at the poverty level. Conservatives are great at this. "I'm middle class!" Sure, you are. You qualify for food stamps, nimrod! I can see the wheels turning in their heads even as they're yelling that they'd never accept them. Of course you wouldn't. Who doesn't need extra money and help in this day and age? They're running to their Toyotas to get to Human Services by the time I get home. Is that being insensitive and stereotypical of me? Hell, yes! Give it to me, DU'ers. I stand by my words!
