Libertarian? My ass.

Authoritarian all the way.

Opposed to gay rights. A view that doesn't jive true Libertarianism. (not saying that Libt are pro-gay rights, they're more neutral on the issue. But opposing gay rights is viewed as opposing a form of liberty by old school Libts)

----------------------------------------------------

Supports military tribunals and Gitmo. Opposes the trials of terror suspects in civilian criminal
courts.

"I believe we try the terrorists captured on the battlefield in military tribunals at GITMO. I do not believe in trying them in civilian court."

-as per RP's website under issues/Natl Defense (link below)

----------------------------------------------------

Vehemently opposed to women's choice and reproductive freedom. No sign of Libertarianism there.
Govt in the womb. Govt in the body is intrusive, liberty-robbing, big government.
Women's independence and freedom should exemplify American liberty and what freedom stands for. It has set an example for the world to follow.

Not if Rand Paul has any say in the matter..
"I am 100% pro life. I believe abortion is taking the life of an innocent human being.
I believe life begins at conception and it is the duty of our government to protect this life.
I will always vote for any and all legislation that would end abortion or lead us in the direction of ending abortion.
I believe in a Human Life Amendment and a Life at Conception Act as federal solutions to the abortion issue. I also believe that while we are working toward this goal, there are many other things we can accomplish in the near term."

-RP's site under abortion.

There is NOTHING Libertarian there. That quote is straight from the mind of an Authoritarian.

----------------------------------------------------

His website gives little to no information on his views regarding the so-called 'War on Terror'. For me, this raises several red flags. Rethugs usually have their Pro-WOT views plastered all over their websites. Is Paul hiding this view intentionally? True Libt's aren't fond of the WOT.

----------------------------------------------------

Rand Paul, paranoid xenophobe.
"Ten years later we are still not policing who we grant Visas to. We gave a Visa to a Nigerian who had made two trips to Yemen, bought a one way ticket with cash and no baggage and his dad tipped off the US Embassy that he had been radicalized."

"I propose a moratorium on Visas from about ten rogue nations or anybody that has traveled to those nations."

-under Natl Defense

More paranoid xenophobia..
"I believe our greatest national security threat is our lack of security at the border."

Rand Paul is NOT a Libertarian.

Rand Paul is a bigoted, paranoid, dangerous, anti social safety-net, willing to deficit spend for the war machine- male version of Michele Bachmann.

Every bit as bat shit crazy as Bachmann.

Libertarian, my ass!

Authoritarian- check.
