3. He basically admitted that, without going into any detail - or wanting to.
A horrible, horrible, horrible price to pay for being wrong. It doesn't just visit itself upon him for being a short-sighted, greedy, penny-wise/pound-foolish, pro-business jerk. It deals a near-mortal blow to ALL OF US. ANY life form on the planet. WE ALL lose, across the country, and indeed across the whole freakin' WORLD - wherever those ocean currents touch. WHEREVER those ocean currents touch. As one who's been laughed at and scorned as a "tree-hugger" because, somehow, it was perceived as a bad thing to want to protect our environment and our beautiful planet - so far the ONLY life-sustaining planet that we know of in the universe - I take no joy in this, or schadenfreude. I don't even get any joy from the thought that - as the oil toxins move up the Florida coast, maybe some of them will foul the beach in front of rush limbaugh's mansion and the smell that will make the beach and surf utterly reek, thus ruining his nice evening oxycocktail outside on his beach chair. I'm sad even about that.
