17. Charter Schools Are A Farce
Edited on Thu May-27-10 09:36 PM by Dirigo
It is insane to fund these foolish charter schools at a time when our public schools are in desperate need of on-going repairs and maintenance. Public education policy dictates we should be protecting our public schools. It is less expensive and far better to maintain schools throughout the nations school districts than to siphon precious tax dollars to fund these bogus "make work and jobs schemes" for the well connected. Enough already! Lets get serious about good public education policy sans the bloodsuckers putting our children at risk in substandard, insecure locations, and expect them to teach and protect students. The idiot who dreamed up this bogus scheme needs to be horse whipped. I am disappointed that anyone who calls themselves progressive would excise a choice few from the public school thereby diminishing and driving costs up for the institutional schools is something worthwhile. Horsepuckies! I am hoping all Charter Schools will be closed in the public interest. Let the qualified teachers in Charter Schools if there are any find work in an honest environment serving the public need in the public school system.
