2. WIC is one of the best programs

I've worked in social services for 23 years, and I never hear of any abuses of the WIC program . WIC only purchases food items for children. Unlike food stamps, WIC does not allow purchase of dubious items, like candy and soda. The program provides nutrition to the most vulnerable in society. If you want to cut government fat, this is not the place to look.
