18. Where's the complete version of this video?
I'll admit that being old enough to remember the missing 18 minutes from the Nixon Watergate tapes has made me more than a little skeptical.

Through the bulk of this Clinton/Ryan video, the two are talking about the health care plan and about Congress going into paralysis. Absolutely no pausing in that portion of the video. During that entire dialogue, Clinton is on the left and Ryan on the right.

... then a break ...

Then Clinton's remark saying if you ever want to talk about "it", "give me a call". At the moment he made that comment, Ryan has moved a considerable distance, is on the other side of the column, was walking away, they've switched positions, and the audience is in mid-applause over something in the background.

Here are some possibilities:
Maybe they stood completely mute in the interim, and the reporter was running out of film so -- being the frugal type -- he turned off his camera. (Though, IMHO, the odds that Bill would stand mute for ANY amount of time is unlikely)
Maybe Ryan told Clinton that his wife, Janna, had suddenly started wearing pantsuits and Clinton was generously offering Ryan a shoulder to cry on.
Maybe the missing part was a discussion that referred back to the "paralysis" comment -- if anyone knows how frustrating it is to have a stalemate in Congress, it would be Bill Clinton.
Maybe y'all are right, and Bill Clinton had an epiphany and decided to tank his wife's career.

I, for one, am not willing to take a chopped up video and make any assumption about what a word like "it" refers to.

Case in Point: From the "important notice" in the footer of THIS page:

"... Messages posted on the Democratic Underground Discussion Forums ... represent the opinions of Democratic Underground, LLC."

That's what it says. That's an exact quote.

Right?
