will have to spend down the money they would leave their children while the multi-millionaires leave their fortunes to their heirs without paying estate taxes?

This is a big step toward finishing off the middle class. Ordinary people work and save so that they can leave a small amount of money to their children when they die. And these cuts to Social Security will end that practice. Being able to leave something, however small, for your children upon your death is an important part of the so-called "American Dream." The wealthy want to eat the small savings of the middle class and then starve the very poor.
