12. Misleading headline?
Hamsher has lost her mind. Speaking of "dumbest motherfuckers in the world," Hamsher conflates the claim that McConnell blinked with supporting McConnell's deal.

<...>

The irony is that the Obamabots are so out of touch with who Obama is and what he wants they don’t realize that by cheering for the McConnell deal, and his prowess in making McConnell “blink,” it amounts to twisting the knife for him. It makes it impossible for him to reject the deal the end — which empowers the GOP to hold out.

<...>

Not only is she wrong in her characterization of what the President's "most ardent supporters" are cheering, but also the word "ardent" is a throwaway since most Democrats have been cheering the fact that McConnell blinked.

The President has made no indication that he is willing to punt on this. In fact, the only thing about McConnell's deal that's worth considering is the fact that he finally admitted the debt ceiling should be raised.

To quote Pelosi:

“What Leader McConnell has put on the table recognizes that we must pass” a debt increase, Pelosi said. “So it has that merit in that it says what are we talking about here: We have to pass this. And let’s talk about the others things that are going on.”

Hamsher is simply making up shit to attack the President and anyone who supports him.

Still, you seem to agree with her characterization if it refers only to "most ardent supporters."
