I am collecting social security. I paid into the system for about 50 years. That is my money. I am now 72. While I was still working, I lost a chunk of money in my IRA and 401K accounts because of the Wall Street fiasco. I am now pretty much depending upon social security to keep me going for at least the next 10 years, as I do not expect to live longer than that.
