I live down the highway from there...the Dallas Morning News wrote how one guy was there since MONDAY outside the place, another lady was crying as she ate her burger, others waited for 14 hours..it went on and on.
Given these people's reaction and wait time, you would think we are down here living in the middle of a third world country famine.
After reading the nonsense, I strolled on down the sidewalk to my local pub and ordered a veggie burger/fries and a slice of cheesecake. Time spent from order to last bite = 45 minutes.

The local hype and reaction to "new/first locations here" is not new to us. Back when the first Krispy Kreme opened here people did the same thing. Local media and mom/pop donut places were in horror, we spent weeks reading how all the locally owned shops were going to go out of business since EVERY person wanting a donut would shun mom/pops and go to Krispy Kreme.

Lo and behold, locally owned shops are still thriving and I think the last time I drove by the location where KK was, it was an abandoned building.
