yes, you removed some context, but you seem to be making a point and I agree with it.

And by the way, for a country like Ecuador, being considered by the U.S. to be "anti-American" can have serious consequences. It's not just calling them a name.


Here's an example of the consequences. Be an "anti-US government", and you can be subject to our military's "full spectrum operations"

This is a from a Navy document talking about the proposed U.S. military bases in Colombia:
