Sounds like you are blaming the lawyers. I personally don't think they overcharged.

Guilty going free: you made my point. We have created a system with significant protections that not only protect the innocent, but also protect the guilty. And in doing so, sometimes the guilty go free.

Circus: I do agree with you there. I am not certain what we can do to improve the situation. I disagree with the idea that we should hire professional jurors. But perhaps if more people stepped up and completed their jury duty, it would help the quality of the pool.
