I just want to put this out there: If you get to your golden years with little, I am perfectly OK with it if you get more from Social Security than you paid in. If you are lucky enough to retire rich, I think it's OK if you get back less than you put in. Social Security is, basically, insurance against facing extreme poverty in old age. Those who need it less probably should get less.

That's just how I feel.
