23. "always remember to keep riding the storm out"
In the words of Lasher (from Player Piano) "it doesn't matter if we win or lose, Doctor. The important thing is that we tried. For the record, we tried!"

Ir was worth it to try, if only for the record, because you never know until you try.

You can always find negative things if you want to look for them. Your job is dead end. What does that mean? You'd feel better if you could get some promotions? I understood that you were a union worker making decent money. That seems kinda positive to me. You mention a beloved ex, and at least that tells me that you had some time together with a person you loved and who loved you. That you call her 'beloved' makes it sound to me like you should court her again, that you could make her life better, at least in a financial sense as two can live more cheaply than a pair of ones, and she could make your life better.

You sound like you are giving up, or wallowing in despair. I've quoted it before, Charles Stanley's Life Principle #20 "dissapointments are inevitable, discouragement is a choice."

Or as they say in Galaxy Quest "never give up, never surrender"

Or what they heck, surrender if that is what you want to do, but don't give yourself away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av7xWys6gh4

God, I sound like Random Thoughts. Ah well, as Spock said "constant contact does lead to a degree of contamination".
