other posters here at DU as "ignorant" are themselves often the most misinformed posters in our DU community.

They often spout untruths or half-truths. Many of these posters are actually trolls, trying to defend a position with information they got from some mass emailing that originated at the Heritage Foundation or some other RW group that preys upon the fundamental lack of knowledge, learning, and accurate perception so prevalent among conservatives.

That said, the article from Wikipedia below seems to present a more accurate representation of the abortion issue than the opinions you presented.

Legalization of abortion was first widely discussed in Germany during the early 20th century.
