combine this with SERIOUS, EXCLUSIVELY public campaign financing and that would reduce the incentive to accept bribes, which are taken in exchange for huge amounts of wasteful spending and stupid tax loopholes that impoverish the treasury.

if we, the people don't pay congresscritters to do right, the ne'er-do-wells will pay congresscritters to do wrong.
