395. OH US lawmakers and corporations join in unholy alliance Athens (Ohio) News Sep 5
This piece has some interesting content on how and what ALEC corporate objectives are and lists them. SEE the sections "Such costs to corporations are of two kinds:" and "The new means used by ALEC are direct and simple:"

U.S. lawmakers and corporations join in unholy alliance

CLIP:
A complicating problem for ALEC is presented by election and maintenance of their henchmen to positions of power. Most people would not vote for a candidate whose primary agenda is the maximization of corporate profits. Getting such trained and dedicated henchmen into office requires massive election funding and the maintenance of a gullible voter constituency.

Election funding has been solved through the recent Citizens United decision by the Supreme Court, which legally equates dollars with constitutionally protected human free speech. ALEC smartly also authors voter suppression laws to reduce the numbers of young, old and non-white voters, who are less likely to support the typical ALEC-trained henchmen. A supportive voter bloc for the ALEC henchmen is then enticed and sustained by ALEC's provision of disingenuous cookie-cutter laws favoring extreme positions on guns, abortion, homosexuality and religious intrusion into government.

If observant, you may have noted that many new laws introduced in states within recently turned-over state legislative majorities are identical in effect (union busting, voter suppression, etc.) and nearly identical in wording. This is no accident of chance. Some may say, "Wow, these ALEC guys have really got it together, right on!" Others might ask, "if I'm not a corporation, a corporate henchmen or part of the target voting bloc, what's in it all for me?" If the answer is "nothing"; you might want to think deeply about your future as a citizen in a representative democracy. The ALEC takeover is underway.

SEE ALSO note above.
