Cheney voices concern that Israel may attack Iran

Vice President Dick Cheney voiced concern Thursday that Israel may decide to act first against Iran to eliminate the possibility of a nuclear threat.

"If, in fact, the Israelis became convinced the Iranians had significant nuclear capability, given the fact that Iran has a stated policy that their objective is the destruction of Israel, the Israelis might well decide to act first, and let the rest of the world worry about cleaning up the diplomatic mess afterwards," Cheney said in an interview aired on MSNBC on the day that George W. Bush was sworn into office for his second term as president.

Hey, if Israel wants to start a huge war in their backyard...and their frontyard...and with both neighbors on either side -- that's their mistake. I see no reason for the US to make a huge mistake to keep them from doing so.

We pay a whole shitload of tax dollars to prop up their military -- let them put it to use if it's so important to them.

6. They were making the argument just the other day...

...that the US needs to attack Iran FIRST to prevent Israel from attacking first. As if it would somehow be better if we did it, instead of them.

I say, if they want to jump into the flames, let them.
