Smiles for the family, a fiery warning for the world
George Bush began his second presidential term yesterday with a call to American action abroad, committing the US to the spread of global democracy and "ending tyranny in our world".

In arguably the most combative inauguration speech for 50 years, Mr Bush made clear that the Afghan and Iraqi wars had not diminished his determination to take the counter-terrorism campaign to America's enemies. He depicted those conflicts as part of a much broader mission, which he phrased in almost messianic terms.

With this radical address, Mr Bush nailed his colours once and for all to the neoconservative mast, committing himself to an activist foreign policy. He went out of his way to reject the more traditional "realist" Republican philosophy associated with his father, which argues that democracy cannot be exported to regions like the Middle East and that US foreign policy should be guided by narrowly defined national self-interest.

1. "My failures have not persuaded me that I am not a success,"
said the Chimp as he hustled the nation and the world with his Yosemite Sam impersonation.

4. More neocon marauding ahead
Ah, I am generally a happy man until I read what our Fearless Leader is up to.

With Bush we finally have someone who can make "freedom" sound like a dirty work.

6. * and his neocon gang are the real "tersts" of democracy in this world.
The * administration has and will continue to be a bunch of self-centered, self-interested hypocrites that have no interest in democracy, equality or the will of the people. His repuke thugs in FL, OH, NM and any place they could control the vote to their favor, tossed democratic principals out the window for their own rewards. These are the “democratic” principals he wants to extend or expand. (I forget which word he used, but neither is very open to a true democratic process.) He should have said what he means to do… impose.

Under his leadership our country has managed to turn a surplus into the largest deficit in our history. And now he wants to rob the most successful government program in our recent history to pay for his illogical tax cuts.

We suffered the 9/11 attack under their sleepy watch. They had other things on their minds and refused to listen to the warnings. Now we must endure the tragic consequences of their misguided responses. It is the death of American principals at home and abroad. If they can’t starve the working class here, they are determined to kill us off in the first war of aggression in our nation’s history. And the collateral damage to all that have been maimed, murdered or died in the process is… priceless. No amount of money can restore them. Meanwhile, the masterminds and * family friends are still free.

Yes, these are ongoing resentments from the first four years. If anyone thinks the next four will be any better, you just have to look at his cabinet nominees. And then there we have the $40+ million coronation extravaganza just weeks after the tsunami tragedy.

They don’t like people that don’t have money to invest in their empire. And they sure as hell don’t want anybody that might have a critical thought to get any.

Karma, please get them good.
