Iraq exile vote runs into trouble
BBC
Iraqis living abroad are being given more time to register in the country's election because of a low turnout.

The International Organization for Migration, which is organising voting in 14 countries, said registration would be extended for two days.

By Thursday, the fourth day of registration, fewer than one in 10 Iraqis had registered abroad, out of more than a million eligible voters.

1. For the right to vote in an election in which the candidates are secret
You put a large target on your back.

I do not believe two more days are going to be of any help.

2. This is a horrible disaster
The powers that be just don't get it, do they? The world is on to them, and they are trying to cover with election news.

Iraq will have installed the puppet dictator of the U.S. choosing. He will make a public claim to denounce the war, but will privately do the bidding of the United States.

3. Iraqis are worried they are being registered (fitted) for internment camps
Edited on Sat Jan-22-05 12:06 PM by NNN0LHI
A couple of suicide bombers here in the US by some Iraqis and they will be off to the camps just like the Japanese were during WW II. And 39% of Americans will think it is a good idea to torture them just in case they may know something. The media won't report this, but its the truth. If I were an Iraqi right now I wouldn't be registering nothing with nobody. What do you think?
