Oregon legislator is investigated over accounting problems
SALEM, Ore. - An Oregon legislator is under investigation after thousands of dollars in expenditures have been called into question.
Two election complaints were filed with the secretary of state's office Friday against Representative Dan Doyle over possible campaign accounting mistakes.
During his campaign, Doyle wrote two checks for over $9,000 to Comcast Cable, but Comcast said it never received that money - and didn't run Doyle's ads.
Two other checks, for $10,000 each, were made out to Red Cell Inc. however that company is not registered in Oregon. KATU found a company called Red Cell Enterprises registered in the state.
