Bush Family Babysitter Killed in Fairfax
MAYBE SHE HAD A DEAL WITH THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER?

THE BUSH FAMILY EVIL EMPIRE STRIKES AGAIN.

Bush Family Babysitter Killed in Fairfax

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A46190-2003Oct5.html

A babysitter for the family of Marvin Bush was found dead Monday night outside the family's Fairfax County home, and police said that she had been crushed when her car rolled into her, pinning her between the vehicle and an outbuilding on the property.

Fairfax County police said Bertha Champagne, 62, had worked for several years for Marvin Bush, President Bush's brother, and lived at the family home on Fort Hunt Road in the Alexandria section of Fairfax.

Officer Courtney Young, a police spokeswoman, said Champagne had gone outside the house about 9 p.m. Monday, reportedly to retrieve something from her car.

The vehicle had been in gear, police said, and appeared to have rolled in her direction when Champagne was in front of it.

Cars do this all the time. Mysteriously shift into gear on their own that is. Or maybe people leave cars in gear and unattended all the time? I dunno, something like that.

It's titanium foil. I mean, really, what are we supposed to think? She got in the car, put it in neutral, walked in front of the car, stood in front of the outbuilding and just didn't notice until the car hit her? This is absurd.

I wonder who is going to apply for her job now.

58. Naw...
If you're going to kill somebody, there are far more efficient ways to do it than running them down. A person could conceivably survive something like this; if it were me and I wanted somebody silenced, that person would fall victim to senseless street crime (think carjacking).

Or their light plane could develop mechanical trouble. Whatever.

79. Actually carjacking is a difficult crime
...to pull off. The intended victim has a powerful weapon at their disposal. They can readily flee and even attempt to harm the attacker at the same time. It is much too unpredictable.

Airplane accidents are great for knocking people off. If it is official business. However, if you are killing the babysitter because she found your crack stash, you might have to improvise so dad doesn't find out.

10. "Had been in gear and rolled in her direction" - ?!
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 07:20 PM by nu_duer
I'm a little confused. And let me say, I'm sorry this woman was killed. But, if she didn't put the car in gear when she went out - something I think she'd be aware of - then the car was supposedly sitting in the driveway in gear, and just happened to "roll in her direction" at the precise time she went to the car. What?

btw, doesn't a key have to be in the ignition on cars made since, I dunno, 1985, in order for the car to be "put in gear?"

The fact that she's dead is tinfoil hat enough. The story of how she died is so outrageous that it demands that hat.

Wonder what her story was...

19. This is so weird!
My aunt was crushed by a car last year, but she was in the vehicle when it started going backwards down a hill and then jumped out and got caught up underneath it somehow. She is now fine, but went through months of rehabilitation. I just cannot imagine how this car slipped out of gear and rolled forward over her, unless it was parked on some type of a slant. This is truly bizarre.

35. make/model?
This doesn't make common sense, unless the car was parked on a hill and was an old piece of junk with a gearshift that slipped easily into neutral, with the ignition off. I drive old cars, and the only one that did that went to the junkyard a VERY long time ago.

Make/model????

Why would this woman drive a scrap heap? Even though she was a domestic, the nannies and housekeepers who aspire to work for prominent people would want to drive something not too old for 'image' purposes, rather than some early 1980s or 1970s heap that came out of Deliverance General Junkyard up some holler.

It just doesn't make common sense that this woman would drive a car that would go into neutral on a hill or first AND reverse on its own, without the ignition being turned on.

31. How did it get into gear? How did it get started? If you accidently
threw it into gear she'd have to be inside the car or near the driver window? Unless her knitting yarn wrapped around the gas peddle and gear shift and as she walked infront of the car she dropped it into gear and gave it gas.

We've got to get a picture of the inside of this type of car.

18. next to impossible
would you let someone capable of running themselves over babysit your children ? Let me get this striaght, if it was an automatic trans it would roll better in neutral than in gear , unless the motor was running and reving and regardless, for the car to build up enough energy rolling to crush you to death it should have started moving before she ever got out, and would need to roll quite aways so either she out ran her car to the wall of the building and jumped infront so she could be crushed or the car didnt deicide to start rolling until she was far enough away for it to build up some speed , thats if the driveway was a good downhill or there was a brick on the gas pedal. Really if running yourself over with your own automobile was your prefered method of suicide and you had months of planing you would probable not be successful . Well I imagine the good folks will call off the insurance company and take care of the babby sitters family out of pockett to avoid snoopy insurance men who would never pay such an absurd claim as impossible as this.

An interesting point according to Winston Partner's website is Sami F. Al-Bashir, who "held the positions of Credit Analyst and then Portfolio Manager (Alternative Asset Management) at National Commercial Bank in Saudi Arabia."

The National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia is a defendant in the suit against the Al Qaeda network, which was filed by the families of the 9-11 victims.

30. As much as I would love to pin something on the Bushies
I know of two cases where cars would do this.

My mom had a '68 Ford Galaxie that, when put in park and left running, would shake itself into reverse (though you'd think this defect would have been corrected in Fords by now).

I had a friend who did the same thing - don't know what kind of car it was - she left it running and went to get something out of the trunk. The car backed over her. She was in a vegatative state for years after that.

Though, now that I think about it, both these cars when from park to reverse. Assuming this woman had an automatic transmission, how did it get from park to drive?

Assuming this is an automatic transmission, she didn't leave the car in drive when she got out of it, so who put it in drive while the maid was in front of the car? For you mechanics out there, is it possible for a car to be in gear and stand still?

If it were a standard transmission in gear, the clutch would have to be pushed in, in order to keep the car running. The ONLY way this police report could work is if it were a standard parked in gear and the teeth of the gear gave way.

Even if the engine were not running, if the emergency brake was not set or it failed the car could have rolled forward. Assuming, of course, there was enough of an incline in front of it to make it roll.

47. Yes, there IS a lot of conservative housecleaning going on.
I, for one, find it somewhat interesting that Rush's housekeeper came forward AFTER she'd been given money from Rush's lawyer. What a good reason to shut it - why mess with good money for not working? I'd chalk that one up to Rush being SUCH an asshole, not to a conspiracy

but the idea of reducing liabilities is an intriguing one to play around with

item: if you buy that Valery Plame was the White House messing with the CIA, then this is easily construable as the CIA sending a message to the White House: Mess with us and this could be another 8u5h. It is a little slick for the 8u5hes, in contrast to the recorded deaths documented by the conspiracy folks. Joe Wilson was, aamof, rather contrite-looking today when he said the leak didn't come all the way from Chimpy himself.

item: the 8u5h f4m1ly was in big with the CIA, right? Part of G the first's appeal, as I recall. If the White House is at war with the CIA, as many claim, then in the context of a White House/CIA feud, this begins to look like some opening shots in a very nasty little internecine spook war unfolding in our backyards. Such a conflict would necessarily be in-family, and might easily involve 8u5hes killing 8u5hes.

item: if you buy 8u5h Knew or 8u5h Let It Happen, then Marv is definitely one of the key 8u5hes - definitely worth killing for. Heck, he's interesting as he is.

item: the article is very carefully worded so as to make it clear that the police have not conclusively decided it was an accident

Any good research angles anyone sees?

49. Not to throw a l ittle water on the subject, but
I have 2 cars - and 88 Chevy Corsica + 88 Pontiac Sunbird Convertible.

Many times, after exiting the freeway on an incline, I slow down and leave it in gear, and the car keeps motionless, without brakes. Even have to step on the gas a little to keep it from rolling backwards. But this is the only circumstance I can do this in.

BTW - many homes have the driveways sloping down into the garage - I've had to build many of them and we have quite a few around Henderson/Las Vegas.

I've managed to keep mine dry by sloping them DOWN away from the garage for just the last couple of feet, tho.

I know it's possible to do this to a car. Why you'd want to do it in the garage, and GET OUT OF IT, is another question. But it can happen.

52. Couple of possibilities
First, a few completely non-tinfoil-hat observations/questions.
1) It doesn't say whether or not the car was running, and standard transmission vehicles can move while not running if in neutral and the emergency brake is not on or fails. I'm pretty sure automatics can move in neutral, too (same thing as to emergency brake) but the steering wheel will lock if turned too far.

2) Someone mentioned that driveways often do slope into garages, plus, it says she was pinned between the car and an "outbuilding" not the garage (mere servants don't park where the family parks, surely).

3) *Assuming* she's parked on a curved, sloping drive near an outbuilding, the car, if the front wheels were still turned, could possibly pin her as it scraped the outbuilding - and this would probably be enough to fatally injure her - would be fender/wheel rather than bumper, so it would hit more area and be more likely to result in internal bleeding.

However, this story is way too vague to figure any of that out - seems suspiciously vague for a death that occurred a week ago, I grant you.

4) This still leaves the question of what caused the car to move from a spot where it had been stationary without the emergency brake OR what caused the emergency brake to fail? Could she have been returning around the front of the car after slamming the passenger door and set it in motion? (That would assume brake not on.)

Other more sinister musings, but not BFEE, necessarily:
1) What if someone (young) got inside the vehicle and disengaged the emergency brake? Wouldn't that alone be enough for a cover-up?

2) Same theme, what if someone happened to strike that car from behind at just the wrong moment? (or the right one, if you want to see it that way) Again, even if an accident, a cover-up would be tempting.

56. How long is the average driveway?
How fast would the car need to go to pin her, rather than push her forcefully forward?

Why would the gears be engaged if she just wanted to retrieve something from the car?

If she was in front of the car, and it pinned her to a building, what'd it do, wait until she was dead and then PUT ITSELF IN REVERSE?

What's the deal here?

63. When Cars Attack
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 08:57 AM by rocknation
Did any of you see that TV show with Richard Belzer as host? They showed a bunch of footage of police car chases and crashes and claimed the cars were attacking drivers and pedestrians.

Clearly that's what happened here. The victim attempted to retrieve someting from her car by standing front of it, and the car went into gear and rolled over her. I mean, consider the alternative--that she got into the car, started it, put it gear, stood in front of it and let it roll over her. Ridiculous!

69. I saw some of that, but
Edited on Tue Oct-07-03 12:50 PM by FlaGranny
why would she have started the car if she were just retrieving some items from it. The engine would have to be running for a car to "attack." The only possible explanation is that she slammed the door closed after retrieving her items, causing the car to start to roll, and without noticing, then walked around in front of it just in time to get hit. I'm not sure about her car, but MY (going on 8 years old) car won't let me remove my key until I have the shift lever in park. It also "yells" at me if I forget to take the key out. Tis very odd, but I really hope it was an accident.

P.S. Another odd thing is that this accident killed her. Most cars would pin you at about knee level and break your legs, but not kill you. Was she leaning over to pick something up and then got pinned across her chest or head? If an accident - a very freak accident.

Edit: typos

damning secrets. Then a Bushies babysitter is killed in a freak accident. I guess that's how the Bushies stay in power: snuff anybody that might know and tell.

OOPS, sorry, I'm speculating here aren't I.

Marvin is real neandarthal from what I've heard. The babysitter probably saw something she wasn't suppose to. It would be interesting to talk to some of her relatives or other acquaintances to see if she had said anything about her job, fears, etc. People often sense they are in danger before the ax falls. Just a hunch.

66. speaking of Bush and deaths whatever happened to this story?
"The Associated Press 9/7/2003, 3:35 p.m. ET

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine (AP) — A woman walking along a beach about a mile from former President Bush's summer home Sunday found what appeared to be body parts on the shore, police said.

The state medical examiner will inspect the items, which include at least one bone and what appeared to be internal organs, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the state Public Safety Department. He said it wasn't immediately known if they were human.

Kennebunkport police contacted the state medical examiner's office after the discovery.

McCausland said state police would not send investigators to the scene unless an examination shows the body parts are from a human. An examination was not expected before Monday.

The area where the parts were found — a rocky stretch of shore known as Colony Beach — is about a mile from the Bush compound, said Sgt. Chris Simeoni of the Kennebunkport police."

Any follow ups?

67. Why are the bush homes always referred to as "compounds"?
That really creeps me out!

The fact is that Marvin Bush was heavily connected to 2 companies involved in both the security & reinsurance of the World Trade Center before 9/11.

Any death of a person remotely connected to this slime is suspicious.

73. Keep checking Google News
Right now (Tuesday night - 8 days after this death) there is only ONE story in the entire US media mentioning that the babysitter for Marvin Bush's family died.

Very strange...

78. Strange that there is no obituary notice anywhere
I even checked the local area papers - nothing. Of course, this woman may have been from anywhere, but she did live with the bush family or so the article says.

This stinks:mad:

84. think about it
If you're a beat cop, and it happens at the home of the president's brother, could you be intimidated? Pushed around? Taken off the case? Told it was closed? No story here, keep moving?

Where I live, one can get an autopsy report for $25. Wonder what is true there? It was Fairfax County, Virginia right? It's a pretty big county. They do have their own Medical Examiner.

Having looked at a few mysterious deaths, I believe that the Medical Examiner can be part of a coverup. But, even so, sometimes the autopsy has some interesting items.

Like, if she has damage above the neck and it's a sedan, it's going to make the story all the more incredible/uncredible.

For all we know, she was drugged, put on the driveway, and run over on purpose.

Or, perhaps it was an accident and someone was driving. Or.....since the article says they don't even know the cause of death, maybe it had nothing to do with cars at all -

My guess is we won't find out.
