Snider: Schwarzenegger Inspired Record
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 09:26 PM by khephra

snip........

Twisted Sister's 1984 best-selling album, "Stay Hungry," was inspired by a Schwarzenegger book Snider read in the early 1980s. Schwarzenegger also starred in a 1976 movie with the same title.

"It motivated me," Snider said Monday. "I dedicated the song on the album to him."

snip..........

Snider was unfazed by the recent sexual misconduct charges swirling around Schwarzenegger.

"He was a movie star, for God's sake!" Snider said in a phone interview with The Associated Press, in between promotional stops for his new Halloween record, "Oculus Infernum."

"The fact is, men are dogs," he said. "If we took all the dogs out of jobs of importance, we'd have a lot of empty offices."

14. Women stuck with Republican husbands. . . .
probably haven't been groped in decades and seem driven to fantasying about movie actors.

7. I find it extremely hypocritical that repugs demonize actors and
musicians only if they don't support the GOP, and even more amazing that no one calls them on it. It was only a few months ago that Mike Ferrel, Jeneanne Garafalo, Tim Robbins, et. al. were told, in no uncertain terms, to shut up, to stop using their celebrity to promote their cause, and in fact that entertainers in general were not capable of talking about politics, and yet here they are championing a hack like ah-nold and a burned out hack musician like Dee Snider.

Sometimes it's enough to make you  and/or :puke:

8. a lot of empty offices...
Or, another option to the empty offices would be responsible women filling the positions vacated by the dogs.

11. I thought they meant the handyman from "One Day at a Time!"
Maybe I'd have listened to that Snider. But only if he claimed Arnold was too inexperienced and immature to be governor, even if he weren't a sexual predator.

Remember the video where Dee Snider has the teen kid beat up his dad while playing "We're Not Gonna Take It" (sic)? Strong qualifications for societal spokesperson, I would say...

15. "He was a movie star, for God's sake!"
SO WHAT!!!??? Being a "movie star" does not grant you a get out of jail free card or a license to engage in sexual battery at your heart's content numbskull!

So we have one burned out rock star whose brain cells have been fried long ago supporting a meathead who has muscles where his brain cells ought to be. Between the two of them they don't add up to one IQ point. I have considerable confidence that the voters of California have more sense than to be influenced by the likes of Dee Snider.
