Senate Dems to Let Leavitt Be Nominated
WASHINGTON -- Senate Democrats plan to end a boycott Wednesday on Utah Republican Gov. Mike Leavitt's nomination to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, allowing it to move forward.

The GOP-led Senate Environment and Public Works Committee was scheduled to vote on the nomination on Oct. 1, but the committee's eight Democrats didn't show up, denying the quorum needed for a vote. Its chairman, Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., and nine other Republican members voted symbolically to support him anyway.

2. This sucks!
So much for a backbone, especially since they STILL have gotten NO answers about the lies re: air quality in NYC after 9/11.
