KABUL, (October 07, 2003) - Attacks against aid workers in Afghanistan have increased dramatically over recent months, as the CARE chart shows at www.careusa.org/newsroom/pressreleases/2003/oct/10072003_afghanistan.asp

Last month, six people working for international aid agencies were executed in deliberate targeting of humanitarian workers in the Afghanistan countryside.

With their deaths, more humanitarian workers were murdered in Afghanistan in the month of September than in all the months since the fall of the Taliban two years ago.
