The Army has sent investigators to Fort Stewart, Georgia, where soldiers who are sick or injured have complained about their living conditions. Members of the National Guard and Army Reserves say they're forced to live in squalor and have to wait for months to see doctors. NPR's Adam Hochberg reports.

2. Mostly ret. military or military dependents

also DoD civilian contract workers, and, who knows, maybe KBR. I don't know who pays for their medical insurance, but it's likely they go to civilian doctors when stateside.

The conditions sounded ghastly.
