U.S. rejects claims Iraq aid funds 'missing'
!!!!!!!!!!!!

The chief of the US occupation authority in Iraq rejected allegations that billions of dollars in Iraqi oil revenue and other funds earmarked for the reconstruction of the country had gone missing in "opaque" bank accounts. Paul Bremer, head of the Coalition Provisional Authority, said all funds were being spent or transferred in a "completely transparent" way and that auditors' accounting of CPA expenditures from those funds would soon be posted on the internet and provided to an oversight board.

Just like "soon" we were gonna see irrefutable, by-god-we-got-da-shit-now, no question about it, evidence of Saddam's WMD. That particular "soon" started about a year before the actual invasion and has recently trailed off to embarrassed silence. So "soon," as employed by this crew, is not a word I'm particularly impressed with.

Kinda like Wally Shawn's "inconceivable" in "Princess Bride": "I do not think that that word means what you think it means."

Perhaps a quick flash across the bottom "ticker" never to be seen again.

Perhaps a quick mention, spun naturally to make the Busheviks appear pure as driven snow. No in depth discussion, no discussions on the Right-Wing Nightly "talkshows" like Bushball, the Bush Factor, Hannity & BushisGod.

I am not including Faux because they are a Propaganda Arm and can't een be legitimately lumped in with the rest of Corporate TV Pravda.

Totalitarianism is so easy to predict...

that funds, such as gold teeth and family heirlloms of Polish Jews, were being funneled to Switzerland and the Union Banking Corproation in America.

I give such "denials" equal cerdibility.
