Brazilian counts the cost of criminal deal

Rio de Janeiro - A jobless Brazilian man who agreed to impersonate a convicted robber and serve his prison sentence to cover a debt wound up doing time of his own for the ruse.

An investigator in Sao Paulo told reporters that Denival Santos, an unemployed baker's assistant, spent three months in a prison cell this year posing as the robber, Rene Coelho Honorato, before authorities caught on.

I've been saying for 2 years I believe our government, FBI-CIA does this too. They have a CIA/FBI agent pretend to be an idiot terrorist, Shoe Bomber for example, as a plan to scare American citizens to strengthen Bush. The agent gets convicted but then some other patsy serves his time while the agent is in the Witness Protection program and gets a face lift at the CIA facial plastic surgeon center:
