Three U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iraq
Three U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP)--Three American soldiers were killed and four wounded in two separate attacks in Iraq, the U.S. military said Monday.

Two soldiers were killed and two others wounded Sunday in Baghdad after their patrol was targeted by a roadside bomb. The soldiers belonged to the 1st Armored Division, a military statement said.

In Abu Ghraib, on the western edge of Baghdad, one soldier was killed and two wounded Sunday after an attack on their Military Police unit, according to the statement.

2. How long before the U.S. wakes up?
'Tis more than obvious that this death count is just getting started. Will it reach the one thousand mark in time for junior's election bid?

6. Don't worry. When it hits 1,000, Bush
will make a stirring speech dressed as a Navy SEAL, and cap it with a taunting "Is that all ya got?" The media can then begin the count anew: X number killed since 'is that all ya got.'"

7. I have 3 large, and I mean large signs in my yard
that show the body count....and the wounded count...every morning I get up and add one more, 3 more, 2 more, 10 more...
people drive by slowly, then speed up and turn their heads..
Until we SEE the media showing our kids on the battlefield in pieces, until we SEE the media show the caskets and body bags,
people will stay in denial...they dont want to LOOK, like Babs Bush, in her gold plated mansion.
In the meantime, a mother sits in her home and gets the call.
Your child has died.
and the money pours in for Halliburton and Bechtel.

10. That's compelling
Unfortunately, most people would probably respond to the dollar amount, instead of the body count.

11. I need one in our yard
I don't believe that anyone other than my wife and I know how many people have died for the b.f.e.e. Or how much it's costing us day by day.

14. They didn't mind showing G.I.'s bodies being drug thru the streets of
Somalia, did they? Sure as hell sent our asses packing out of there. Don't worry Israel, give the chimp 4 more years and he'll invade and occupy all of your neighbors for you (that is the goal, right?). Somolia's problem was that it isn't bordering Israel, and it doesn't have any oil.

15. Nice!
What is the third sign?

A sign counting the profits of Halliburton alongside the casualty numbers wouldn't be a bad idea.

16. This is a great Idea !
I don't have a yard to do this(live in apt.) But I'll think of something.
Maybe on the side of my 1962 Volkwagen Bus. It'll be a moving (literally and figuratively) sign.

3. Make that 3 MORE...
Sadly, the headlines should read 3 more as the body count is slowly riseing.

4. Five total for Sunday
1 - US Army Colonel killed in rocket attack on al-Rashid Hotel;
1 - 4th ID dies of non-hostile gunshot wound, Baquba;
1 - killed in mortar attack, Abu Gharib prison;
2 - 1st AD soldiers killed by IED while on patrol, Baghdad

That's 5, yes? And it's being reported that at least one more died in the car bombings on Monday morning. A fucking mess, it is.

8. October 26th FIRST day of Ramadan
As someone (US military I think) was quoted a few weeks ago ~"If things don't settle down before the 26th there could very well be a whole lot of trouble" (loose quote)

12. Remember Sadam's sons ?
and why they had to show the bodies and crowed about it. It was the first step towards Iraqi's realising that the old regime was not coming back and although initially things may get a bit messier it was all going to start getting better soon.

More and more lies and more families have to suffer when their loved ones die.
