Huge Afghan opium harvest brings fear of new terrorism {Independent}

We went into Panama to free it from a criminal drug dealer.. and whatever happened to Noriaga, whats with that?...anyway. Noriaga put 4 Calli Cartel money launder bankers in jail. then we invade them and save them from the drug dealers and make the head banker money launder the president of Panama, a year later 5 times the cocaine is flowing thru panama...........!!!:shrug:

5. yeah, kinda funny that way, huh?

The Taliban virtually eradicate the poppies, and now it's a record harvest, with the "coalition forces" serving as muscle for drug lords.

It all adds up, if you're not afraid to do the math. The "War on Drugs" is every bit as bogus as the "War on Terror."

8. Ultimately drug money probably going to finance 'terrorism'

and political payoffs. A little bit here and a little bit there. Poppies were one of Afghanistan's biggest industries. Also provides a living for growers, same as S. American coca crops.

Only lots more, and often in different colors. Red and purple are common, as are mixes of white and other colors. And there are orange ones, double flowers, ones with fringed petals, etc. All varieties of the same species, the same plant that produces edible poppy seeds.

One place you can launder money is the stock market. Some accredit the surge in stock purchases in the 90's to a massive infusion of drug money. The amount of money the CIA was making off of drugs is far more than what they need for operations.
