Natural-Gas Prices Hit Record Amid Storm
SINGAPORE Dec 9, 2005 — Natural gas prices rose to a new record Friday as a winter storm hit the northern United States, while crude and heating oil prices also gained amid expectations for strong demand.

Natural gas for January on the New York Mercantile Exchange reached a new intraday high of $15.52 per 1,000 cubic feet in Asian trading before slipping back to $15.233 per 1,000 cubic feet, up nearly 24 cents. The contract had closed at $14.994 overnight, also a new record.

Nymex crude was also higher. Light, sweet crude oil for January delivery gained 30 cents to $60.96 a barrel in afternoon electronic trading in Europe.

2. Yes. OMG, think of the
people who are broke right now. Elderly people on fixed incomes. People who are in poor health.

We're in Oregon, and it's cold. I can't imagine how cold it must be in the NE part of the country.

3. It's cold here in NE, too
White out conditions and 6"+ of snow today-it's been in the 20's all week.
I have my heat set at 60 degrees-and I have a NEW heatng system!
I don't even want to think what the cost would be
with my ancient one...probably around $1000.00
by February...I was looking forward to actually being
warm this season, oh, well.
But I'm really feeling bad for others-just as you are.

4. But people feel great about the economy or at least that's what CNN
told me today. Just wait until people open up their heating bill for this cold snap.....

5. Most of those bills will come before Christmas
There has to be an impact on the economy whether it's reported or not.

The fat fuckers that own the oil companies know that "MOST AMERICANS" have a short attention span. They have forgotten how the oil companies fucked us over in the summer. Now it's time for the winter fuck. I mean...it's only been a month since they were in front of Congress saying how they know high oil prices are hurting the American households pocketbook, but "SOMETIMES THEY HAVE TO MAKE A PROFIT". Expect to see those same fuckers in front of Congress again come April or May. We'll see what goodies Santa will bring them for the 4th quarter.

Meanwhile...Fuckem all. May they rot in hell.
