BAGHDAD, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- A polling station in the area of Mutasem in Samara was blown up by unknown attackers on Saturday night, said Iraqi Interior Ministry sources on Sunday.
The source, who requested anonymity, said that the attackers planted explosives in a high school being used as a polling station and blew it up causing great damages to the building, but no human losses.
Meanwhile, the source said that the Iraqi Police found an unidentified dead body nearby a school in Tikrit, noting that the body was shot at several times.
In a separate incident, the city of Samara on Saturday night witnessed armed clashes between the Multi-National Force (MNF), the Iraqi forces, and masked gunmen.
An Iraqi police source in Samara said that an Iraqi soldier was killed and two gunmen were arrested in the clashes.
Also, two Iraqi soldiers were killed and another was wounded in Beiji, 30 km north of Samara, when their vehicle came under attack by unknown gunmen.
