Security incidents in Iraq, Dec. 18

* BAGHDAD - Five civilians were killed and seven others wounded when a makeshift bomb went off in a crowded market in the eastern Kadimiya district of the capital, police said. An interior ministry source said a woman was killed and 15 people were injured.

* BAGHDAD - Five Iraqi policemen were wounded when a suicide attacker rammed his car into their checkpoint near the Interior Ministry in eastern Baghdad, police said.

* KIRKUK - Four Iraqi policemen were wounded on Saturday when a makeshift bomb exploded near their patrol in the northern city of Kirkuk, police said.

* BAGHDAD - Gunmen killed the driver of an Interior Ministry official in east Baghdad, police said.

* TAJI - Two Iraqi soldiers were killed and four injured when gunmen opened fire on their bus near al Taji military base north of Baghdad, police said.
