Hoekstra defends spying policy

HOLLAND -- Homeland security issues and progress in Iraq were two of the main issues Rep. Pete Hoekstra discussed with area business people Monday.

Hoekstra, R-Holland, defended the recently disclosed spying on American citizens without warrants by the National Security Agency as necessary to "fight the bad guys."

He also said Iraq has had a good year, with three free elections, the creation of a parliament, ratification of a constitution and election of a new parliament.

...

"It's outrageous the president is the only one taking a hit on this, especially when it is legal and necessary to the make America safe," Hoekstra told about 500 Chamber members attending the meeting at the Holland Holiday Inn and Convention Center.

2. and who are the bad guys?
Democratic elected representatives?

Citizens who oppose the President's policies?

Both groups have been accused of "treason" by the right wing sound machine. Wanna bet we are the "bad guys" here?

7. Yep, the Elephant flies above the Eagle
Who are the "bad guys," Mr. Hoekstra? And how did you determine that? And will it stand up in a court of law? We're supposed to be fighting against lawlessness, not refining lawless techniques, sir.

5. "Those willing to sacrifice
liberty for security lose both and deserve neither"

I think one of our founding fathers said this.

6. It;s outrageous that Repukes are so willing to trash the Constitution
that they'll happily spread bs talking points saying "Black is White" if that's what the White House orders.
