Bush issues New Year's message

<snip>

"The great strength of our nation lies in the hearts and souls of the American people," Bush said, pointing out how people came and supported those who were driven from their home by the year's storms.

Regarding Iraq and Afghanistan, he promised the United States would "continue to stand beside these young democracies and lay the foundation of peace for our children and grandchildren."

Bush expressed gratitude to the members of the U.S. military -- and their families -- who "protect our country and advance freedom around the world."

Bush said, "We look with hope to the year ahead and the many new opportunities the future will bring."

1. Bullshit - he broke one of his resolutions already
He sorta fucked over the "young democracy" in Iraq by installing Amurkan toady Ahmed Chalabi as Oil Minister after Chalabi received almost no votes in the parliamentary election.

But I bet he actually does look forward to the new opportunities the future will bring. I just don't think the average citizen will like them very much.

7. OKNancy issues New Year's message
"The great strength of our nation lies in the hearts and souls of the American people," OKNancy said, pointing out how we're going to kick some Republican butt.

Regarding Iraq and Afghanistan, she promised work like a dog to kick the Bushites out and all those who want to harm the way to peace for our children and grandchildren."

OKNancy expressed gratitude to the members of the U.S. military -- and their families, and she hopes they will soon be wrapped in each others loving embrace.

OKNancy said, "We look with hope to the year ahead especially the November elections when we will be one step closer to regaining our country for the hopeful, the caring, the generous, and peace loving people - the people our founders wished us to be.

I will study war no more.
