Testimony Links Skilling, Lay To Alleged Effort to Hide Losses

At a March 29, 2001, meeting led by Mr. Skilling, Mr. Delainey testified, a decision was made to hide some of the big EES losses. Mr. Delainey said he argued the action, which involved moving some retail operations to the profitable wholesale unit, "lacked integrity" and shouldn't be done.

1. Every report of daily testimony sounds damning for LAY, so

why can't I shake the feeling we'll be hearing "Not guilty" four months from now?

It is not 'lost' or spent.

IIRC, didn't the supremes recently rule that CA and the other
states cannot sue for the return of the stolen money?

Time for my daily WTH??!! is going on in this country?
Answer: Republicans. Not just Bush. The problem is Republicans as a whole.

3. LIFE in prison at Hard Labor is not enough

America needs to regain credibility to the rest of the world. I used to be in Asia watching BBC world reports and economic news. They used to display a graphic in the back ground when ever they would be discussing USA economic issues.

The graphic displayed :
Days since Enron Bankruptcy,
No.# of executives arrested,
No# of executives convicted

It is a very telling tale of the disbelief in our system of justice to prevail. You have to remember not only did Americans lose Billions of dollars but so did foreign investors too. The fact that we can now only sell US debt to China is yet another injustice suffered at the hands of Ken Lay
