Canadian oil flowing into United States
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=7fcdca3519c8b40f

Canada has become the biggest exporter of oil to the United States with the re-opening of a pipeline from Alberta to Oklahoma.

Crude oil from Alberta's tar sands began flowing this week from the Calgary, Alberta-based Enbridge Corp.'s facility through a 650-mile stretch of steel from Chicago to Cushing, Okla.

For years the pipe, which used to be owned by BP, carried Gulf of Mexico crude to northern markets, but as the Gulf supply dwindles, the crude is flowing in a different direction, the Houston Chronicle reported Saturday.

I'm not really sure how to take this article...The revelation is the
dwindling of oil from the gulf...It sounds to me like someone is scrambling to hide something???

3. Its called Peak oil in Mexico
Here a good read about peaking oil and Mexico..

http://www.fcnp.com/550/peakoil.htm

The more pessimistic of the study's scenarios have Cantarell's production dropping from 2 million b/d to 875 thousand barrels a day by the end of next year and 520 thousand barrels a day by the end of 2008.

7. Technological Failure
"PEMEX, while refusing to release the study comments the pessimistic scenarios will only happen if they do nothing and they are taking aggressive steps to mitigate the situation.

Outside experts are not so sure. Cantarell is a meteor-crater based field and as such is unlike any other. Extremely high depletion rates are not completely unknown. Production at Oman 's 35 year-old Yibil field peaked in 1997 at 225-250 thousand barrels a day and then declined to 88-95 thousand barrels a day in three years. In the case of Yibil, part of the rapid decline was attributed to the introduction of horizontal and multi-lateral drilling into field that increased the percentage of water being brought to the surface with the oil to a greater extent then anticipated."

8. Boy Howdy, Gonna Ramp Up To 3 M bbl/dy In 20 Years (Maybe)
with massive investment.

That's really gonna take the edge off a 85 M bbl/dy addiction when the panic hits later this year.

Not.

10. Canada sells its crude on par with the International market price.
Edited on Sun Mar-05-06 01:03 AM by Amonester
So, if Rummy's, Cheney's & **'s unnecessary WWIII (based on lie$) with Iran starts in 30 days, and the International market crude price quadruples (or more...), $15.48/gal. ga$ at the pump could very well become a (harsh) reality.

Unless Chavez... Nah.
