Voting machine security alert sent - Florida!
March 4, 2006

TALLAHASSEE - The state recommended on Friday that elections officials across Florida enhance security safeguards for all voting systems after tests in California and Tallahassee exposed weaknesses.

Leon County Supervisor of Elections Ion Sancho called the technical advisory a vindication of his findings last year that some Diebold optical scan voting machines can be hacked by election office insiders to change results.

"In other words, you could steal the election and no one would ever know," Sancho said.

The advisory to supervisors in all 67 Florida counties cites tests by California's Voting Systems Technology Assessment Advisory Board.

4. Why do they insist on using something that DOES NOT WORK? It is
defective. It is flawed and faulty.

This alone should tell everyone with a brain wave pattern what they're really up to. Sheesh.

5. Oh good. Now they'll just make it hard for anyone ELSE to hack in.
Maybe, out of all the clamor over these rigged machines, the only thing election officials have heard loud and clear is "If we can't get rid of the machines then maybe we'll have to hack them ourselves".
